Federica Crispo, class of '93, was born in Salerno where she still lives. She studies Architecture but technical drawing is not for her, so she dives into the world of illustration and attends the Palladio Design Institute for animation.
In these years, her drawings have been published in magazines such as Carie, Blam! and Digressioni editore. She created the cover and drawings for the collection “Tramonti di Cartone” published by Gm press and was selected twice in the Annual of Image Authors in the categories “Design and advertising” and “Publishing” in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

Costanza was born in Livorno in 1994. Always passionate about drawing, she graduated in 2016 in Visual Arts at LABA in Florence. In 2016, she attended the master's in editorial illustration Ars in Fabula in Macerata. In 2017, she specialized in stop motion animation at IED in Rome. Also in 2017, she won the "Fabbrica makers" scholarship at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma where she worked as a set designer until 2018. In 2022, she collaborated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome where she completed her studies with a master's degree in illustration and art publishing.
To date, Costanza collaborates with independent Italian and foreign magazines, schools, publishers, companies, the textile sector, and private individuals. She is co-founder of the animation company Fantasmagorie Studio and holds illustration courses for adults and children at her studio in Livorno.

The Marzipan Museum - author and illustrator

Lisa Amerighi is an illustrator and graphic designer specializing in children's publishing. She completed her artistic studies in painting first in Florence and then in Bologna, at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has worked in the field of cartoons, collaborating on the creation of some animated series. For years she has worked with various Italian and foreign publishing houses, illustrating and designing books and albums for various age groups. She loves her work, which allows her to open a small window into her own world and tell it through images.

Julien Bertolin (Aosta 1992) is an illustrator who lives and works in Rome. He graduated from art high school and earned a degree from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in 2014, followed by a Master's degree at the Academy of Fashion and Costume in Rome.

In 2018, he published his first illustrated book "Le mie parole sono…” of which he is the author and illustrator.

He later collaborates with some publishing houses, brands (Illustrator “Trollbeads” 2019), and art galleries, participating in solo exhibitions (“Intima” 2021) and significant group exhibitions: the historic Premio del Disegno di Torre Pellice and the LXV edition of the BASILIO CASCELLA art award.

In 2022, he is the author and illustrator of the illustrated book "La dispensa dei ricordi” published by Il Ciliegio, followed by “Chi ha un’idea originale?” published by Errekappa Edizioni (2023) and “Portami a ballare” published by Psicografici Editore (2023).

New publications are planned for 2024, including “Il museo di marzapane” designed for the series “C’era una volta…Bummy” curated by Bummy Edizioni and “Mirò” published by Il Ciliegio.

Strong the strong wind - Illustrator

Pino Pace graduated in Literature from the University of Bologna and has worked for radio, cinema, and audiovisuals. He has written more than 50 books, including novels, poetry collections, picture books, pop-ups, silent books, and narrative maps, mainly for young people, many translated abroad. He taught for 10 years at the IED in Turin and conducts workshops on writing practices in schools, libraries, and cultural centers, in Italy and abroad. He is among the organizers of the associations Babelica and ICWA (Italian Children's Writers Association), and he curates the children's literature festival Matota in Turin.

Irene Frigo is an illustrator who lives between Turin and Verbania. She mainly works with editorial illustration and published her first book in 2013, The Planet of Mismatched Socks. In 2022, she won the Silent Book Contest Junior with her Looking for a Leg! In her free time, she loves making animated stop motion gifs and received recognition in 2020 from ANIMA, the animation festival in Brussels. Since 2017, she has been part of the creative duo Irene&Irene.

The Mermaid Seeker - Illustrator

Author of books for children and young adults.
Through the association Talea, of which she is president, she works to create outposts of beauty and creativity against educational poverty.
In her bag, there are always stones and feathers collected by her daughter Amélie, notebooks for writing, and books to read.

Karina is a freelance illustrator who lives near the sea, which she could never do without. 

She illustrated the book “Lilla e il mondo delle fate” written by Carlotta De Melas and “Una bambina per Natale” written by Milena Salterini, both published by Risfoglia. 

In her small studio, she loves experimenting with different colors and techniques, sometimes making a bit of a mess. 

Recently, she enjoys making her characters tangible using clay. She is crazy about long walks and homemade apricot jam.

Grandma Hare - Illustrator

Qualified teacher for the role of School Principal with a PhD in developmental biology, she has always combined her passion for school with that for scientific dissemination.

She wrote "The Jellyfish Garden" and her "Who Will It Be", also for Camelozampa, became the input for a national project that attracted the interest of INDIRE: "Who Will It Be? - Science in TransformACTION", characterized by an integrated teaching approach of art and science. Both books, winners of numerous awards, have been translated into various languages.

With the book "Grandma Hare" published by Bummy Edizioni, the author has the opportunity to address topics very dear to her regarding environmental and social sustainability.

Valentina Malgarise was born in Verona in 1985. Always in love with drawing and books, she graduated from the "U. Boccioni" Art High School in Verona. She studied Illustration at the School of Comics in Milan, where she later obtained a Master's in Editorial Illustration. She works as a freelance illustrator for Italian and foreign publishing houses, creating picture books and illustrations for educational publishing. She has taught illustration and painting techniques in academies and institutes.

Beatrice was born in Soave in 1986 and grew up in a small town in the province of Verona. After high school, she first attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice with a focus on painting and then the one in Bologna, graduating in 2011 in illustration for publishing. During her specialization, she did an Erasmus in Tournai, Belgium, and attended some courses at the children's illustration school in Sarmede. Since 2012, she has worked as an Art and Image teacher in secondary schools while simultaneously creating illustrations for companies, local entities, and publishing houses. Since 2021, she has been teaching permanently at a lower secondary school in the province of Verona. In 2024, she self-published an illustrated book titled "Jofì dei panni stesi" and conducts workshops for children in libraries and schools. She lives with her husband and two children in a house on a hill surrounded by nature and animals, fills the shelves with children's books, photographs and paints landscapes, collects leaves, and above all, writes and illustrates stories.

Born in Genoa, bookseller by family inheritance, then trainer and executive coach, she deals with writing and training for adults and teenagers.
Between 2018 and 2023, she published picture books, comics, and novels in Italy and abroad.
With the Ararat label, she deals with editing, ghostwriting, and literary coaching; since May 2022, she has been part of the Majestic literary agency.
